At Michigan Screen and Window, we believe in honoring the sacrifice of our nation’s heroes by supporting the loved ones they’ve left behind. Through our Windows for Widows campaign, we’re making a real difference, one home at a time.
We’re honored to have this campaign spotlighted in the news. See how it’s making a difference in our community here.
Windows for Widows is more than a campaign—it’s a pledge of support, a gesture of gratitude, and a beacon of hope for the widows of U.S. military veterans.
This summer, we’re proud to give one deserving widow a home window replacement package, absolutely free.
Do you know a widow of a military veteran who deserves a warmer, safer home? Nominate her today by sharing her story with us using the form below. We’re accepting nominations for the 2025 recipient now through June 13th.
Simple qualifications for submission:
The nominee must be a United States military widow of any age.
The nominee must own and live in the Grand Rapids area home that is receiving the new windows.
The windows must not have been replaced recently. We want this to be a useful upgrade for them!
Dorothy is a bright light – a mother of four and widow of a Frank May who did two combat tours in Vietnam. She was selected as our 2025 recipient and her family received a full set of brand new windows.
“My dad is still looking out and helping us even when he’s not here. His spirit is still present and still looking out for us and providing. I just wish he was here to watch us all grow up. That’s all.”
— Frank May III (Frank’s Son)
